Perth Drummers Hangout @ The Hen House

We were honoured to host the 2nd ‘Perth Drummers Hangout’ day down @ The Hen House Music Practise Studios last weekend. For those that don’t know ‘Perth Drummers’ is a Facebook group that allows drummers from all 0ver WA to stay connected about their shared love of drumming.

Drumming has been one of the most positive and enriching aspects of my life. If I had never caught the drumming bug there may have been no Gyroscope and no Hen House so I was really stoked that I could get on board with this and provide a space for everyone to get excited about drums.

We kicked the day off with 4 Kits set up facing each other in room 3 and were soon joined by some bass players to jam along with. Over in Room 2 we set up 2 kits including an electronic kit for everyone to groove on. Over in room 6 we set up a Buy, Sell and Swap room and in room 5 we had a really cool Roland WaveDrum set up for people to play with. A sausage sizzle and beers capped off a really epic day.

Massive thanks to Phil Nazer for organising the event and a very big thank you to everyone who made it out. Already looking forward to the next one, which looks like it will be in October later this year here at the Hen House Music Practise Studios.
