G'day Friends!

Tom Wilson, Manager of The Hen House here! Hope you're all keeping that winter cold and flu at bay and making the most of time indoors!

We've been busy down here at the studios keeping the place tidy for all our artists. You'll find freshly serviced and cleaned air-cons in every room, freshly disinfected microphones, and some recently steamed carpets in all of our rooms, ready for Spring to hit.

Wander on down this email and you'll find a couple of things I've rounded up for you to enjoy this week.

Events at The Hen House

Many of you may see on a Saturday arvo a few things being loaded in...that's because we hire out Studio 2 for events on Saturday evenings! Birthdays, Bucks, Engagements - you name it! Simply BYO drinks, food, seating or whatever you like, and the place is yours 6pm-1am. We only have 9 spots left for the year - so if you're looking for a unique spot to hold your next event, don't hesitate to get in touch or click here!

Co-Pilot Manager Mentoring Program

A big one for artist managers! The Association of Artist Managers have announcde the anticipated return of their flagship mentoring program Co-Pilot, delivered in partnership with Spotify AU/NZ and Music Managers Forum. Running from November 2023 – April 2024, the program will support 10 early-mid career music artist managers, featuring a 2 day, in-person workshop series at Spotify offices in Sydney on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd November, 2023 and will be followed by peer-to-peer mentoring, one-on-one sessions with a Spotify team member, online professional development webinars and more! Hen House Staff Release New Music!

You may know it's a pretty small team of us down here at the studios, so you'd surely recognise these two faces from the hen! Rohan & Alex are the two other gents you'll find down here at the studios helping you out, and now you can help them out! These lads are both launching singles in the next couple of weeks, and I highly recommend getting down and checking them out. Rohan's band Dear Solider is launching their new EP at 459 on Friday the 25th of August, and Alex's band The Faux will be launching one more single at Milk Bar on Friday the 18th of August before he makes the big move to London! I'll see you all there.

Fresh Microphones From Rode

It's always nice to get a few fresh mics in the house - and thanks to our mates at Rode, we've just picked up a big stack of fresh M1 Microphones for our rooms! Haven't used one before? Book a rehearsal and find out what all the fuss is about. Along with this, all our other M1 microphones have been recently ultrasonically cleaned and disinfected to try and keep you all as healthy as possible as we edge out of these winter months!
