A Guide to Every Festival in 2024

Although the pandemic took a massive toll on festivals and the live music industry as a whole - it's looking like a super big bounce back for this year with all states getting busy with some great festivals!
Check out this great article here with every single one happening across Aus for 2024 - maybe you've got a flight credit to use and a new festival to check out.

Top 50 Songs on Radio for 2023

Australia definitely listened to a lot of pop music this year - helped greatly by the success of viral apps like TikTok. With Post Malone, Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran topping the list along with having multiple entries, it's not until at #19 Australian names to pop up are Peking Duk, with other Aussies further down the list, Troye Sivan, The Kid LAROI, Dean Lewis and Jessica Mauboy. You can check out the full list here and see where the Aus Mainstream Radio trends are at!

Limewire is Back...With AI?

You have read that correctly! The former music pirating software has been rebranded as an online digital markatplace for Cryto & NFTs for a while, and has now introduced AI Music creation. Through LimeWire AI Music Studio, users will be able to generate full-length tracks, create cover images for their work, and publish them all on a single platform - as well as allowing users to maintain ownership of their created music. Now really anyone can make music! You can read more about it here

Tape Notes - Fall Out Boy

If you haven't checked out Tape Notes - this is your time to do so! Each episode reunites an artist and producer to talk about the highlights of their collaboration in the studio, and they go right in to the details of how a song or album was made. From microphones, pre amps, synths, drums, songwriting, production - you name it, it's all covered. There's a great new episode featuring Fall Out Boy and Producer Neal Avron - the conversation covers the band’s approach to the early stages of demoing, their collaboration with a full orchestra and some of the best players in the business, and how they divide different writing responsibilities amongst each other. Check it out here!

Well friends, that's me for this week!
Stay safe and have a yourself lovely weekend,
Tom
