We monitor this closely for cancelations and will notify you ASAP if your preferred time becomes available! US Royalty Streaming Rate Increase! Big news for songwriters and publishers! (In the US...) The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), and the trade organisation for digital music services in the US (DiMA), agreed to a settlement for higher mechanical streaming royalty rates ahead of the Copyright Royalty Board. There's been a bit of a legal battle waging between streaming services and publishers for a while now, with Spotify trying to appeal the ruling, however the CRB decided to increase songwriter/publisher royalty rates for streaming and other mechanical uses from 10.5% to 15.1%. Hopefully this means some trickling changes for artists around the world! You can read more here. Start Working On Your Podcast Idea - Now! I'm a big fan of a couple of podcasts, 'Your Favourite Band Sucks' and 'Cocaine and Rhinestones', both hosted by Tyler Mahan Coe. Well I stumbled upon his YouTube channel and found this great 20 min video on why you should start working on your podcast idea immediately. There are very few valid reasons to not follow through on a good idea for a podcast. In this video, Tyler debunks most of the arguments people use to talk themselves out of starting a show and explain why right now is the time to get to work. Check it out here! Every Way You Can Record Your DJ Set! If you're ever in using our CDJ2000's or 3000's, you'll want to be able to record your amazing set either to listen to later, or use for promo! However there are so many ways to do it, it can feel bit overwhelming! From Serato, to Recordbox, iPhone, Laptop, this article here covers them all and how to get yourself set up with each! From Musician, To Manager, to Crypto Millionaire  I listened to/watched this fantastic podcast the other day featuring Julian Petroulas, and was absolutely blown away. Starting as a musician at 12, he monetised his music so well he then started Sydneys biggest underage music festival. With that money, he went on to start a Management agency, signing multiple artists, and securing (at the time) the biggest US deal an Australian artist had ever signed. And then with that money? Invested in Crypto. Now a millionaire living in Dubai, you just have to hear this tale of work and success!
