Well spring has finally sprung and we couldn't be more stoked. Better weather for free beers and snags on the weekends! We monitor this closely for cancelations and will notify you ASAP if your preferred time becomes available! Bandcamp Fridays Are Back! It's been a whole 6 months since gaming company Epic (Fortnite, Unreal) bought out the music service Bandcamp, and thankfully this week returns 'Bandcamp Fridays' after 3 months of hiatus. The platform launched this promotion in early 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when lockdowns impacted the earnings of artists from tours and shows. In response, the company waived its share of revenue and donated all sales to artists for 24 hours on March 20, 2022. Bandcamp continued the initiative in the following first Fridays of every month after that, until recently. But we are back! If you are a local band, remember to remind your fans and get that Bandcamp money going! In The Pines - This Sunday! RTRFM 92.1 have this week revealed the set times for In The Pines this Sunday! Returning to Somerville Auditorium, UWA (a touch later than usual - no restrictions!), the line-up will showcase 20 bands doing incredible things across WA, including some of our favs! Be sure to head down and catch our mates Ursula, Lincoln McKinnon, Ghost Care, and the very last show for our best pals in Mt Mountain! How To Set Your Band Up As a Business  It might seem a bit overwhelming at first, but setting your band up as a business is almost essential these days for invoicing for shows, distribution, and tax (like claiming your rehearsals!). And it is helpful! There's a lot of perks out there and if you one day want your band to be a money making business, it's best to start treating it like one! Check out this great article here with all the basics to get your band up to scratch on the books.  Fender Guitar Maintenance!  Okay so this one doesn't just apply to people who play Fenders (although there are a lot of you! Myself included), but I found this handy playlist on Fender's YouTube channel with a tonne of videos about maintenance and care of guitars! Everything from how to condition your fretboard, install treble bleed circuits, adjust your truss rod, and tonnes more!
